2006 Anchorage Park Foundation Challenge Grant recipient:
Anchorage East Rotary installed playground equipment for three to five year olds (purchased in a previous year) in Bancroft Park. They held five volunteer work days.

Park History

In 1971, homeowners in the area asked to have 1.06 acres of parkland made available for children to walk and play in. 6.872 acres were deeded to the city in 1988 as a partial gift by the
Calais Corporation.
