Throughout the week of August 10, 2009, hundreds of members of the Church of Latter Day Saints and staff from Home Depot partnered with park neighbors to provide tremendous volunteer energy and support for the work accomplished in this neighborhood park. Once the work was complete, more than 100 neighbors and volunteers celebrated their success at a community Block Party, including a BBQ and
games & activities for kids. Volunteers and staff:
• Cleaned play equipment and removed graffiti throughout the park
• Cleared grass and replenished pea gravel safety surfacing in play area
• Added gravel near basketball court to improve drainage
• Repaired broken swing set and replaced spring toy in playground
• Repaired broken benches near play area and installed three new benches and two new picnic tables
• Fixed volleyball net standards and installed new net
• Filled holes in sledding hill
• Removed overgrowth from walkways through park, improving sight lines and improving park safety
• Added six bollard signs on pathway entrances to park to invite neighbors into the park

In 1983, 5.3 acres of land were donated to the Municipality by E.G. Enterprises. Some areas were developed by a contractor building homes in the area. Considerable volunteer efforts have aided the development of this neighborhood park.
