• United Way 50th Anniversary Day of Caring Project
  
  As part of this Challenge Grant project, Fairview Community Council and United Way Day of Caring volunteers planted 80 wild rose shrubs at the top of the hill in the park. The basketball court was removed and that area was reseeded. A fence was completed in July 2008, and it has received positive feedback from the community as well as from the Anchorage Police Department.
  
  

Park History

This park was established in 1922 by Federal Patent. The park was first developed in 1978 and later redeveloped in 1996 with Community Development Block Grant funds.
