Park History

This park was the 1976 Bicentennial Project for Kiwanis Club of Anchorage. It was also the first park ever designed by Land Design North. The Kiwanis Club produced engineering and architectural plans for the park, and the Parks & Recreation Department provided the recreation development plan and all recreation improvements.

Construction began in 1977 and all the amenities were added in 1979. In 1998, the Kiwanis Club raised funds to replace the aging play equipment with accessible play equipment.
