Park History

This property was acquired in 1971, and was originally known as Willowcrest Park. It was renamed for Pop Carr after his family donated a portion of the park property. Lighting was installed along the path in the 1970’s and in 1980 Pop Carr Park was awarded an Urban Beautification Award for excellence in overall design. Land & Water Conservation Fund resources were used to develop this park.
