Park History
This park was the site of the
original Government Hill Elementary
School, which
was destroyed in the 1964
earthquake and removed from
the property in the late 1970’s.
The land was acquired as parkland
in 1968 through a Federal
patent, and named by the
Government Hill Community
Council.
