Park History

This park was acquired in 1993 through the transfer of a sedimentation pond area to the Parks & Recreation Department. The Department of Public Works continues to care for and maintain the pond.

The Parks & Recreation Department worked with the Northeast Community Council to develop the area as a park. This site is used by the community for kite flying in the summer and sledding in the winter. The playground was developed in 1996 and constructed in 1998.
