Park History

In 1976, the homeowners of the area presented a petition to the Municipality of Anchorage asking for a park in their area and agreed to a special assessment to fund it.

The park was named by school children at Campbell Elementary School, who named it after their school mascot, the wolverine.
In 1985 a master plan was developed and a volunteer group did a lot of work cleaning the park to prepare it for construction.
