The Anchorage Park Foundation (APF) strives to build Healthy Parks & Healthy People by mobilizing public support and financial resources for Anchorage parks, trails, and recreation opportunities. APF is currently undertaking its first annual giving campaign to broaden community support and we need your help!
Since its creation in 2005, APF has raised over $16.5 million for Anchorage parks through donations, grants, and in-kind contributions! Thanks to tremendous support from the Rasmuson Foundation, APF provides volunteer opportunities and challenge grants to community members to make improvements in the parks they value. APF is also working to support the Youth Employment in Parks program, which hires local teens and young adults to work in parks and recreation programs each summer.
Last fall, APF and the Parks & Recreation Department brought over 1,000 volunteers together to assess 53 neighborhood parks. The results of the Anchorage Parks Report Card project will drive future park improvements this summer and beyond.
APF allows the Anchorage community to invest private dollars in public parks and trails, including providing honorary and memorial gift giving opportunities!
Please spread the word about the Anchorage Park Foundation to your friends and family, and make a donation yourself to support Anchorage parks, trails and recreation opportunities! No gift is too big or too small.
Donations for general operations will be matched dollar for dollar by the Rasmuson Foundation with a matching grant of $50,000.
