Cuddy Family Midtown Park Grand Opening
August 23, 2008
11am-7pm

Please join the Anchorage Park Foundation and the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Department at the Grand Opening of the new park in Midtown Anchorage.
The Cuddy Family Midtown Park features beautiful landscaping, the only long track speed skating oval in all of Alaska, a new pond, a walking track and an outdoor amphitheatre. Bring the entire family -- there will be an activity for everyone (including your on-leash canine family members in costume).

Activities include:

Alaska Theatre of Youth Broadway Performances
Live Music: The McLeod Bluegrass Band, Seek Bob,
The Snapping Turtle Swing Band

The Cuddy Classic Roller Ski Races
Roller Derby Exhibition by the Rage City Roller Girls
The Anchorage Cup Radio Controlled Sailboat Races
REI Kayak Paddle for Kids
Dogs and Kids Costume Parade (with prizes for creativity!)
Sport Kiting
Climbing Wall
Circus Arts
Anchorage Public Library presents Curious George to lead sidewalk chalk art
Variety of Local Food Vendors
