Veterans' Memorial Project

The Anchorage Park Foundation is partnering with the Veterans Committee to raise funds to revitalize the Veterans' Memorial on the Delaney Park Strip.

The Veterans Committee believes that the Anchorage Veterans’ Memorial should be a place that inspires all visitors to experience a heightened sense of patriotism and appreciation for the sacrifices endured by veterans from the 49th State.

Visitors to the Veterans’ Memorial in Delaney Park currently encounter many limiting features. The Veterans Commitee is commiteed to raising public and private funds to improve the memorial to appropriately reflect the contributions of our Alaskan veterans. The proposed memorial improvements will reflect the community use of the existing space that has evolved over many years.

The power of the Veterans’ Memorial elements and the park surroundings where it is placed will enable all visitors to contemplate America’s liberty and the memory of those men and women who have contributed to it through their military service.
