Scoop the Poop

Scoop the PoopAnchorage Parks & Recreation, the Anchorage Waterways Council and other participating groups formed the Scoop the Poop Committee out of concern with fecal coliform from pet waste polluting our creeks and lakes. The committee develops public outreach methods and materials designed to encourage people to pick-up after their pets.

The dog poop stations are displayed on an Anchorage map here for your convenience. To purchase a poop station for your favorite park call Nancy Beardsley at 343-4288.

To view the commercial or hear the radio jingle go to www.anchoragecreeks.org.

Past projects have included development of posters, an annual Scoop the Poop Day, and installation of dog refuse stations around the city. To find out more about refuse stations call Nancy Beardsley at Parks and Recreation, 343-4288. Your contribution can go to clean up our waterways.
