The Anchorage Park Foundation & the Parks & Recreation Department are proud to release the Anchorage Parks Report Card, a community-generated report on the state of Anchorage neighborhood parks.
Scotty Gomez Hockey Rink
Old dasher boards and lighting at Tikishla Park's Scotty Gomez Hockey Rink have been removed in preparation for installation of new lights and equipment in October.
Cuddy Family Midtown Park
Grand Opening
Over 1,500 park lovers came out to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Cuddy Family Midtown Park, with circus arts performers, kayaking, rollerski races, a demonstration by the Rage City Rollergirls, and much more.
Didlika Park
New perimeter fence installed. 2006 Challenge Grant project complete
Whisper Faith Kovach Park
New benches and bike rack installed and graffiti removed on playground. 2008 Challenge Grant project complete
Reflection Point at Kincaid Park
Anchorage International Rotary Club has recreated the top of an old missile bunker into an observation deck, garden, and whale bone display. Whale head will be added to the skeleton after restoration is complete in the spring. 2008 Challenge Grant project complete
YEP Streambank Restoration at Campbell Park
YEP crewmembers planted trees and shrubs along the newly completed restoration work to stabilize streambanks

Tanglewood Park Boardwalk
Volunteers are building a new boardwalk as part of an Outdoor Classroom project for completion September 2009

Coastal Trail Improvements
Through funding from the Rasmuson Foundation for equipment and materials, the Park Maintenance trail crew made asphalt repairs and sealed cracks on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail between 2nd Avenue downtown and Earthquake Park in the Turnagain area
New Soccer Fields at Kincaid park
Seven new natural turf fields completed at Kincaid Park this summer, with funding the Rasmuson Foundation, other private donors and a legislative grant from the State of Alaska
University Lake Park
YEP crew members and Alaska Trails volunteers completed gravel improvements to the popular loop trail around University Lake
Singletrack Trails Project
New singletrack mountain-biking trail premieres in Far North Bicentennial Park. 2008 Challenge Grant Project complete
