Will community raise more than $40,000 in cash, labor and in-kind contributions
Airport Heights Community Council wants to reconstruct the Scotty Gomez Hockey Rink. The rink will stay slightly undersized and used as a neighborhood practice rink. Their plans are to:
- demolish the boards
- stabilize the foundation
- resurface the rink
- install new boards
- install new energy efficient lighting
The budget for the project could be up to $200,000, but we expect to have all kinds of volunteer labor contributions that can greatly reduce the cost of the project!
