Tips of Advocating for Parks on the Internet

The key to Internet advocacy is making your views heard wherever anyone might be listening!  You can:

• Participate in online forums or blogs that engage the public on important community issues, such as:
• Destination Downtown
• Alaskology
• The Dog Blog
• Around Anchorage
• anchorage.joop
• Mt. View Forum
• Keep an eye on letters to the editor, editorials and Compass pieces in the Anchorage Daily News, and post in the Comments section when you have something to say (the Anchorage Press also covers Anchorage parks and allows comments on its articles)
• Become a supporter of the Anchorage Park Foundation on Facebook and encourage your friends to become supporters as well
• Follow the Anchorage Park Foundation on Twitter and stay up-to-date on APF projects and activities
